Route to Palancosillo

Ideal for lovers of bird's-eye view. It crosses dehesas of ash trees and oak groves to reach a beautiful meadow of high mountain from where to enjoy some really beautiful views.

 

To get to the Palancosillo we will be guided by the red beacons, starting the route next to the bridge that crosses the Arroyo de la Saúca in the northern area of ​​the municipality and sharing part of the road with the RUTA DEL ARROYO DE LA SAÚCA. From this moment on, we can only continue walking or cycling because the access of motorized vehicles on these roads is restricted, in order to preserve the environment. We will continue up the road, about 250 meters, the road forks in two, we must continue on the right through a pasture of ash trees and leaving on our right several livestock sheds where cattle temporarily stall. After traveling about 2.5 km approximately we will take another detour to the right and after a steep climb, we will discover this beautiful high mountain meadow, from which we will see some beautiful landscape views. The return has to be made by the same way, this time of descent.
