The Consistory

The Consistory

peq-0-NAYARA(1)-t300The town square is presided by the consistorial building, built in the late nineteenth century, early twentieth century. This singular construction (seat of the City council and in times of the school of the locality) is of quadrangular plant and consists of two plants in which the different dependencies are distributed. The facade is symmetrical and distributed in three proportional bodies. One central one that lodges the main balcony which is crowned by a clock in the facade and a campaign (anchored to a structure of forge) in the cusp. And two lateral bodies with terraces. It emphasizes its portico in the ground floor, of all the width of the facade, which gives access to the building.

With large interiors, the ground floor houses, among others, the reception and registration, the municipal archive and the health center. A central staircase gives access to the upper floor where the offices and the plenary hall are located, from which you can access the rope clock that still has this town, which is still operated by crank every one or two days . At present we have a model of this building, located in the Multi-purpose Classroom and Tourist Information, for the enjoyment of all.
