The limits of the locality
Alameda del Valle enjoys an extraordinary location that offers the visitor the possibility to make very diverse excursions to discover the charms of the Alto del Lozoya Valley, one of the six subcomarches of the Sierra Norte de Madrid together with the Valle Medio del Lozoya, the Valle Under the Lozoya, the Sierra de La Cabrera, the Jarama Valley and the Sierra del Rincón (Biosphere Reserve).
The geographic limits of this locality give account of its strategic location. To the north with Montes Carpetanos, behind which is Segovia; to the south with the foothills of the Sierra de Guadarrama and with Rascafría, head town of the Valle Alto; to the east with Pinilla del Valle and Canencia; and to the west with Oteruelo, a beautiful hamlet belonging to Rascafría.
